The RPPN Pedra D’Anta which is located in the Serra do Urubu is a very special destination for this purpose, for it is home to 262 bird species.

The reserve counts on a number of species that are critically endangered and endemic of the Pernambuco Center of Endemism, which are found together in very few areas (they only occur in the Atlantic Forest in the states of Alagoas, Pernambuco, Paraíba, and Rio Grande do Norte).
